The Wine... has a beautifully dense cherry color with aromas of red berries, menthol and cocoa. In the mouth it is fleshy, dominated by complex flavors created by balanced and well integrated tannins. This wine has an outstanding elegance and finesse. Made of 100% Tempranillo and aged for 2 years in oak barrels.
The Winery... is located along the banks of the Ebro River near the town of Cenicero in the Rioja Alta zone, the most famous of the three Rioja regions, known for higher elevation vineyards and soil rich in outcrops of chalk and iron. Aribau Cuvée is a young and small winery with old roots. Originally founded in 1895, the winery has been revitalised by Jordi and Albert Rotllan Torra. The brothers have continued Aribau Cuvée's tradition of producing world-class wines combining a respect for the past and an eye towards the future.
The Vineyards... The estate consists of about 6 hectares of vines, divided between four plots, in Fuenmayor. The Rotllan Torras use sustainable farming methods and harvest fruit by hand.
