Wine at 3CUPS

 

We think wine is a pretty remarkable thing. Good wine turns a light bulb on, wakes up the intellect to a new knowledge and enjoyment of food. Naturalwines taste better, and make you feel better. Alive, like they are.

 

We sell wine made by farmers. All our wines are created using biodynamic, organic or, at a bare minimum, sustainable farming methods.  

 

We are picky. So our wines are carefully chosen. We believe there are no lemons at 3CUPS. We arrive at this selection through years of rigorous tasting and a careful vetting of the people who make our wines.

 

We select our wine from small farms. This means they may produce 2,000 or 20,000 cases of wine a year, but not 200,000 or 2 million. You won’t find wines at 3CUPS made by Pepsico, Seagrams or Louis Vuitton. We prefer wine made by wine people.

 

The wine that we sell is hand-harvested and hand crafted. You won’t find wines made through complex industrial processes at our store. We search for growers practicing the traditional cellar techniques of their homeland. Working in a natural manner indicates belief in your raw materials, allowing them to express themselves, to speak with a local accent.

 

Every wine we sell is estate bottled. It’s logical that winemakers care more deeply with their name on the front label. We feel buying purely estate-bottled is a small step toward truth in labeling in the wine trade.

 

We believe in authentic flavor. Tradition and simplicity are not only a better way to go, they also yield a better-tasting product.

 

 

3BOTTLES is our monthly wine club. You receive 3 bottles of wine and a story about each one, woven around a theme. One month the theme could be a grape variety like Pinot Noir, and the next it could be a region of Italy, or really any interesting wine subject.  More...

 
Wine Flights are a way to taste 3 different wines (2 oz. of each) for the price of a glass of wine (between $4 - $10).  They are available everyday and we change the flights weekly to keep it interesting.
